Thank you for enrolling your child in our Computer Science Fundamentals class! We are thrilled to have them join us on this exciting journey of learning and discovery.
Next Steps for Parents:
To ensure your child is ready for the first class, please complete the following pre-class checklist by downloading and installing the necessary software. This will help your child get started and be fully prepared for their learning experience.
1. Minimum Device Requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10, 11, or Mac OS
- Hardware: Laptop or Desktop Computer with 8 GB+ RAM & 250 GB SSD
2. Essential Software Downloads:
- Zoom: This will be our primary platform for online classes. Please download and install Zoom from the link below.
- Visual Studio Code Editor: This software will be used for coding practice during the class. Please download and install Visual Studio from the link below.
3. Create a Class Folder:
- On your Desktop, create a new folder named “Computer Class L1”. or current level folder
- Inside this folder, create another folder named “Project1”.
4. Start Typing Practice:
- Improve typing skills by starting a typing session. This will help your child be more efficient during coding and other computer activities.
Having these preparations completed before the first class will ensure that your child can dive right into the learning activities without any technical difficulties.
