- Download Link: https://code.visualstudio.com/
- Download Visual Studio Code:
- Click on the blue “Download for Windows” button. The website will automatically detect your operating system and provide the appropriate installer.
- Run the Installer:
- Once the download is complete, open the downloaded file (
VSCodeUserSetup-x64-<version>.exe). - Accept the License Agreement:
- In the setup wizard, read and accept the license agreement, then click “Next”.
- Choose Installation Location:
- Choose the destination folder where you want to install Visual Studio Code or leave it as default, then click “Next”.
- Select Additional Tasks:
- Select any additional tasks such as:
- Adding “Open with Code” action to the Windows Explorer file context menu.
- Adding “Open with Code” action to the Windows Explorer directory context menu.
- Registering Visual Studio Code as an editor for supported file types.
- Adding Visual Studio Code to the PATH (recommended).
- Click “Next”.
- Install:
- Click on the “Install” button to begin the installation.
